Celebrating Pastor Appreciation Day at Shekinah Glory Church
Some moments become memorable not because of how grand the celebration is, but because of the love, gratitude, and togetherness we share. Pastors’ Appreciation Day at Shekinah Glory Church was one of those special occasions.
It was a wonderful time of worship, reflection, laughter, fellowship, and celebration as we came together to appreciate our pastors and their dedication to serving God and His people.
One highlight of the day was Trustee Tek’s powerful,
challenging sermon. His message gave us something meaningful to reflect on, not only the calling and responsibilities of pastoral ministry, but also our own roles as members of the church. After all, a church becomes stronger not simply through the leadership of its pastors, but when its people stand together in faith, love, prayer, and responsibility.
Pastoral ministry is not always easy. Behind every sermon, there may be hours of preparation and prayer. Behind every encouraging word, there may be personal struggles that others never see. Pastors, too, are human beings who need encouragement, understanding, and prayers. They spend their lives lifting others up, and sometimes they need someone to lift them up, too.
The Bible reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13 to recognize those who labor among us and to hold them in love because of their work.
Perhaps the true meaning of appreciation is not found in a single celebration, a special gift, or a few words of gratitude. It is found in how we treat one another after the celebration ends—in the prayers we offer, the burdens we help carry, the encouragement we give, and the unity we preserve. The delicious food and festive atmosphere made the day even more enjoyable. Sharing a meal, exchanging smiles, and spending time together reminded us that the church is more than a place where we gather for worship. It is a family where faith brings us together, love helps us grow, and fellowship reminds us that we do not walk this journey alone.
As Hebrews 6:10 reminds us, God does not forget our work and the love we have shown in serving His people.
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and love to make this celebration a success. May we continue to support our pastors, encourage one another, and serve the Lord with humble hearts.
A beautiful celebration may last a day, but genuine appreciation should last a lifetime.
May God strengthen our pastors, bless their families, unite our congregation, and help us become a church that not only speaks about love but lives it every day.
All glory and honor belong to God.
Growing Together in Christ.
